Dan Merrigan

Real estate has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I was introduced to the business early through my grandfather and father, whose careers in real estate, construction, and homebuilding shaped both my understanding of the industry and my expectations for how it should be practiced. From them, I learned that results come from hard work, accountability, and always putting the client first.

After earning my Business degree from the University of Connecticut in 2007, I returned to Windsor Locks and joined Merrigan & LeFebvre Realty as the third generation in our family business. I entered the industry during one of the most difficult real estate markets in decades. While many agents left the profession, those years forced me to master pricing, negotiation, and risk management—experience that continues to directly benefit my clients today.

I hold a Real Estate Broker license and bring 19 years of experience across every major segment of the market. I have represented buyers, sellers, and investors, and have worked extensively with banks on residential, commercial, industrial, and land transactions. This breadth of experience allows me to anticipate issues, protect my clients’ positions, and execute transactions with precision, without relying on high-pressure sales tactics.

Today, I specialize in Windsor Locks and the surrounding north-central Connecticut market, where I am consistently among the area’s top-performing agents. I provide clients with clear, data-driven guidance on pricing, marketing strategy, negotiation, and execution. My approach is direct, disciplined, and results-focused—designed to maximize value, minimize time on market, and eliminate uncertainty.

My father, who brings more than 45 years of experience to the industry, has been a constant mentor throughout my career. His perspective, combined with my command of modern marketing, analytics, and negotiation strategies, allows me to bridge proven fundamentals with today’s market realities.

I live in Windsor Locks with my son, Austin, and remain deeply invested in the community I serve. I am a past member of the Windsor Locks Zoning Board of Appeals and currently serve as a Board Member for the Bradley Development League, representing the Town of Windsor Locks. Outside of real estate, I enjoy golf, skiing, travel, scuba diving, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
